After a slow introduction to set the mood in concert E minor- the main theme begins gently and is shared with the instruments throughout. The piece wanders through keys of A major and G minor before returning to the home key, but only briefly before the theme climaxes in a passionate F minor. The piece ends gently as the opening with a sustained series of chords- It is around 4 mins 45 in length.
