he Spring, the 1st track from the debut album ‘Reflections’ (2010). This started life as an accompaniment to River Passage (a poem written by my old man Jeff Phelps) c.2002. This is one of many pieces which were inspired by his text (and others) and this is also one of the rare occasions that I didn’t change too much of it before it was recorded for the album. This ‘miniature’ piece (along with the other music written for River Passage) has been on quite a journey because in 2010 it was recorded as an audio tape/CD published by Offa’s Press and in 2017 it was turned into an iOS app!
