Description
A short piece (around 3’15”) for two flutes, Solace was written for the Women’s Missionary Society of the Brethren Church and premiered in the spring of 2017 at a regional meeting. While listed as intermediate difficulty, there is a key change, some dissonant intervals (e.g., 2nds), and flute 2 should flutter-tongue. A great instructional piece for blossoming performers and perfect for use as prelude, postlude, or special music during liturgy.
The file purchased is a performer’s score; both parts are written out for each performer’s reference, and staves of only rests are hidden to save paper and ink.
