Description

A SCENE AND A SONG FROM AS YOU LIKE IT originated as dramatic underscoring and scene change music for a Nebraska Shakespeare Festival production of the play. It opens and closes with an energetic ostinato in asymmetric or additive meters, with the central section being a lyrical setting of Shakespeare’s song, Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind.
Scored for flute/piccolo, English horn, 2 percussionists, and keyboard synthesizer.
