Description
Petite Rhapsodie is an original work for concert band or Wind ensemble. Made of three different moods, based on a theme and his variations. First is the main theme exposed with a driving rhythm, then a kind of a country waltz with a alto saxophone solo and a nice counter melody on the clarinet. In the last part, the theme is written as a popular north-european march as we could hear in the north of France, played by the piccolo (cued in the flute part) and the muted trumpet. All solo parts have cues in the most frequently found instruments in a band. Duration : 5.00 – Difficulty : grade 3
