Text based on a Medieval Latin poem ascribed to Bernard of Clairvaux; Music by Hans Leo Hasler “Passion Chorale”; Harmonized by J.S. Bach
This sacred hymn has been arranged for the solo, unaccompanied violinist. It would be a lovely addition to any Christian worship service but is especially fitting for the Lenten season and Good Friday services.
