Description
This well known baroque chorale by Hassler, harmonized by Bach, is ideal string quartet repertoire. Starting with the viola, each instrument gets to present this noble Passion chorale melody, and when not playing the melody each instrument contributes a rich melodic and harmonic accompaniment. Ideal in a service of worship at anytime during the year and especially during the Easter season. This is also ideal repertoire for High School and College students. The performance duration is three minutes and the full score has all four individual parts attached.
