This arrangement features two different melodies used in various parts of the world. The first tune, by Lewis Redner, is popular in the United States, and the second, an anonymous hymn tune called “Forest Green,” is commonly used in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Canada. The latter melody has been adapted to a 3/4 time signature to provide a joyful, upbeat contrast to the peaceful setting of Redner’s tune. Early intermediate level. 5 pages.
