Description
Memoria for brass trio (flugelhorn, F horn, trombone) is contemplative and poetic. In the key of G/D major and 3/4 time, it blends an upward melody with moments of chromatic harmony. Characteristic of the melody are the leaps of a sixth and an octave. At the end of the work, the use of a musical cascade outlining chords is employed in a somewhat poignant way.
