This popular hymn composed in 1861 is arranged for intermediate woodwind trio (oboe, clarinet in B-flat, bass clarinet OR bassoon). Each player gets a turn at the melody, or part of it. The piece begins as a duet between oboe and clarinet. The second stanza brings in the bass clarinet/bassoon. Lots of nice interplay among the three parts.
