Description
Melody representing the comical antics of Harlequin (Arlecchino) from the Commedia del’Arte.
Each instrument takes its turn at the tune and at the accompanying harmony.
Back-story: I was in Italy many years ago and went to a show featuring Arlecchino –Â
some lovely bits of satire but my favourite scene was where the hero discovers an English jellyÂ
and wobbles it with his hands with many antics. The audience was in stitches!
