Description

This well-known Christmas hymn is arranged as a contrapuntal solo with a pastoral, yet triumphant flavor. The traditional 4/4 transitions to triple meter in verse two. The return of 4/4 in verse three is accompanied by a key change. Each hand has an opportunity to carry the melody, and dynamics are written for each clef under the staff.
