Description
Grainger’s Folk Song Settings No.2.
Compiled by Miss Lucy E Broadwood nr. Horsham, Sussex in 1880/1881from the singing of Christmas Mummers called ‘Tipteers” or “Tipteerers” during their play of “St. George , the Turk, and the seven champions of Christendom”
One of his finest arrangements, it sits well for wind dectet. (double wind dectet/bass)
Relatively short, at 3 minutes it will give a quiet reflective moment in a Christmas Concert.
