This is the last movement of Victor Herbert’s Serenade Op. 12 (1884), set for woodwind quintet by John Gibson. Herbert had a fruitful career both as a cellist and composer of light music, such as his still popular operettas, Babes in Toyland and Naughty Marietta. His music is fun and well crafted and always audience pleasers. The piece is 4:00 long.
