Description
Ernest Alfred Dicks (1865-1948) was an English composer, arranger, and author of music books. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists in London and served as the Organist and Choirmaster at St. Luke’s Church in Cheltenham. He was also the Music Master at Montpellier Hall in Cheltenham.
Dicks composed several pieces, including choral works like “Hymn of Praise,” “Earth Is the Lord’s,” and “Praise to the Holiest”.
“Andante and Chorale” is known for its beautiful, “old-fashioned” style. The composition has a majestic feel and is reminiscent of music from the early 20th century.
