Description
Cecile Chaminade was born in Paris in 1857. Her music is accessible and entertaining, but also with a depth to it that remains of musical interest to this day. Probably her flute concerto is the piece best known, but she wrote a great many fine pieces. This piece, the Danse Ancienne (antique dance) was written for piano and published in 1893. This arrangement is set for 4 flutes by John Gibson.
