Butterfly: a solo piano work from the album Shadows (2013) This piece was created for a therapist friend for ‘Serenity’, a 1 hour album of relaxing solo piano music. The piece was then rerecorded for the Shadows album shortly afterwards. It’s strange how well certain tracks ‘perform’ on certain platforms; Butterfly currently has just over 187K plays on Soundcloud, outperforming all of my other work by about 500%! The other ‘fun fact’ is that I opened it up to the Facebook community to title this piece, so I can’t take credit for that part. It also became the ‘soundtrack’ to a wonderful short film by Eirini Xyda-Kouka in 2016, so it’s had quite a journey.
