Description
This beautiful Welsh lullaby is here arranged for brass quintet. It is given my own special treatment, where the melody is shared around the ensemble with added embellishments. The bass line becomes a walking bass a la Bach and the music keeps on moving forward.
As an aside, it became famous as the theme of the film “Empire of the Sun” about the Japanese during WWII. The producers thought the title Suo Gan sounded like Shogun. I kid you not!
