Description
A setting for brass quintet of this lovely Chorale Prelude by J. S.
Bach. The horn opens, playing the melody unaccompanied, with an echo on
the muted 2nd trumpet. The Trombone plays the second phrase, again with
the echo and this contines to the final phrase where then three parts
play in harmony. This is followed by the Bach Chorale Prelude, in 3/2
time with the whole ensemble playing. The lovely rippling triplet
crotchets (quarter notes) under, over and around the melody in minims
(half notes). Once you get your head around the rhythm, this is an easy
and relaxing piece to play.
