Description
Brass Band March – Marching Through the Pain
An original march for brass band. The title refers to that oft felt feeling you get on a street march, especially after you have walked into a couple of bollards or potholes and you’re tired and cranky and want to get to the end!
It follows the traditional march form, with an Intro, a solo cornet and 1st baritone duet, with a counter melody on euphonium on the repeat. a contrasting section featuring lower brass arpeggios answered by high brass semiquaver motifs. This is followed by a ‘bass solo’. Then comes the trio section with a lightly scored, lovely little melody on the solo euphonium, which is reprised with the whole band before a DC al fine.
A rousing march suitable for both concert and marching programmes. Please contact me for A4 sized copies.
Parts are supplied for full British Brass Band, plus:
1st, 2nd and 3rd Horn in F
1st and 2nd Baritone, 1st and 2nd Trombone, Euphonium, Eb Tuba, BBb Tuba all in Bass clef.
