Description
A brand new arrangement, taking a fresh look at this well-known carol.
The Horn and Clarinet and Bassoon get a bigger share of the tune in this arrangement, while the Oboe and Flute are allowed to join in as the Horn’s serious face slips a little!
The third iteration of the tune (letter C) needs the flute to play with a bell-like effect, if possible, so that the obbligato sounds like a peal of bells over the rest of the group while not obscuring the melody
The final repeat of the tune is in a jazzy style and the bassoon walking bass part is the most important as it drives the rest of the instruments towards the end.
