Description
“Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind ? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne ?” (Robert Burns)
A traditional tune probably originating in Scotland: “Auld Lang Syne” is usually sung each New Year at midnight or as a song of farewell. It is common practice that everyone joins hands with the person next to him or her to form a great circle around the dancefloor, theatre, arena etc.
This is a straight forward arrangement for orchestra with an optional part for Piano and Descant Solo Trumpet included. If you use this arrangement let me know how it goes! Â There is also a Concert Band version of the same arrangement available.
Grade = 3 Â Duration = 2:10 mins.
VIDEO: Played by the Purchase Symphony Orchestra (without Descant part)
