“Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne ?” (Robert Burns)
A traditional tune probably originating in Scotland: “Auld Lang Syne” is usually sung each New Year at midnight or as a song of farewell. It is common practice that everyone joins hands with the person next to him or her to form a great circle around the dancefloor, theatre, arena, etc.
This is a straight forward arrangement for Flute Quartet or group. An optional Alto Flute (sub for Flute 3) and Bass Flute (sub for Flute 4) is also available to print. There is also an optional Piccolo part playing a Descant line. If you use this arrangement let me know how it goes!
