This is a clarinet octet version of a work that was composed in 2005 as a woodwind and brass octet.

It can be said as “Introduction and Passacaglia”.

I think “the world” should be “polyphony” … I think.

This work is by no means cheerful and never ends in a happy ending, but that is why we should be able to find some “hope” there. I believe that is the power of polyphony.
