Description
This was my first solo work of substance, written in 2010 for my Senior Honors Research Project at The University of Akron. I researched types of harmonic, melodic, and rhythmic content that would typically bring to mind images of the sky. The piece had been floating around in mind for several years and that project was the perfect opportunity to bring it to life. The programmatic setting is meant to represent the sky in it’s many forms from a calm, clear, sunny day, to a terrible thunderstorm raging at night. It is broken into two continuous movements, denoting Day and Night. A PDF of the full project is available for free for download on my website.
