Description

It is a very interesting descriptive work that captures the emotions and feelings of an artist during his first public performance. At the beginning, while still behind the curtain, the artist experiences a mixture of anxiety, nervousness and despair. However, he also feels deep happiness, enthusiasm and satisfaction for having achieved his goal of performing in front of an audience.

Next, a short march is heard, signaling the entrance to the stage. The artists greet the audience and prepare for their performance. Even though the nerves are still present, they try to relax and concentrate on the moment. Their goal is to control their emotions and immerse themselves in the work to fully enjoy that sublime moment.

Finally, the dance begins. The artist frees himself from all the emotions that overwhelmed him at the beginning and passionately surrenders to his performance. The irregular rhythms of nationalist and pre-Hispanic music take him through different types of dances until he achieves absolute control of the situation.

The recapitulation consists of a brief recollection of the different stages that the artist has gone through. To conclude the work, a small coda is added that facilitates the transition to a unique ending and leaves the viewer uncertain as to whether the work has concluded or continues.

Price is for the full score and parts.
