Description

A work with narration, song and music about an Irish born, Australian convict poet. His iconic song, Moreton Bay is still used today. This piece includes a narration, dialogue between him and a judge and Martin Cash. Apart from the song Moreton Bay it also includes some of his poems, Seizure of the Cyprus Brig in Recherche Bay, That Day I Will Be Free, For the Company Underground, that have been set to music, as well as a couple of thematic pieces such as Danny Boy, Storm Bay Shanty and Drowsy Maggie to tell his incredible story or hardship and pure stubbornness.

It is arranged for wind quintet and male vocal, who plays the role of Frank. The judge and Martin can be narrated by a member of the group.
