5 Jazz Trios is a fun, flexible and original collection of Trios written in a Jazz style by David McKeown for three Saxophones. The pdf file contains the scores, separate parts for three Altos, and also alternative parts for Soprano and Tenor Saxophones.There are chord symbols in concert pitch on the scores for additional accompaniment on piano, bass or guitar.
5 Jazz Trios are suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. The key and range are accessible and there are some simple syncopated rhythms and accidentals. With a total playing-time of around ten minutes, 5 Jazz Trios are a perfect upbeat source for any performance program, formal or informal.
The five titles are Swing Thing, Jazz Train, Mini Minor, Pet Rock and Red Rag.
