Description

The contents of these 3 Spanish Dances, which were composed for viola and piano, are different from each other.

In the first dance, Andaluza, the Andaluzian scale, one of the scales of Southern Spanish music, is heard. It is divided into two parts within itself. The transitions in the chapter are inspired by Pablo de Sarasate, but have an original structure.

The second dance, Malaguena, was composed using its unique theme and diversified in the viola party. Although it is a heavy type of dance, it is accelerated in terms of sound and decorated with string techniques.

The third dance was composed with inspiration from the Impressionist-Late Romantic structure in Isaac Albeniz’s Espana Suite. Unlike the 2 dances before it, Asturias is a Northern Spanish dance and the musical structure of Occitania is heard in its content.
